British telecom group Vodafone Group delivered higher results in the past broken financial year, helped by the acquisition of the German cable group Unitymedia.
Sales rose by 3 percent to 45 billion euros, while operating profit grew by almost 3 percent to 14.9 billion euros. Due to the uncertainties due to the corona crisis, Vodafone does not provide a concrete forecast for the results in this current financial year.
The company said roaming revenues are under pressure from the corona crisis as there is far less international travel. In addition, consumer income may weaken over time as a result of the damage caused by the crisis, Vodafone reported.
