The American pharmaceutical Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech are about to apply for approval of their COVID-19 vaccine. According to the companies, the application will be sent to the US authorities on Friday.

According to the proposers, the US medical authorities can use an accelerated procedure because of an emergency situation. The vaccine could be available in the US by the end of the year.

The vaccine is ’95 percent effective’ in combating Covid-19 according to the developer .
