The French car-sharing service BlaBlaCar will also run buses in Germany. That is what CEO Nicholas Brusson has said to the German business newspaper Handelsblatt.
The company also has a bus service in France, in addition to its service where people can travel with other road users for a fee. The company took over Ouibus from the French railway company SNCF and gives the bus service the new name BlaBlaBus. BlaBlaBus is also coming to Germany this year.
With this, BlaBlaCar is competing with Flixbus, which holds 95 percent of the market for long-distance bus services in Germany. BlaBlaCar already wants bus services to sixty German cities this year. The French are starting in the west of the country.
