Fastned will build quick charging EV station in Oxford Pin It

Fastned has partnered with the city of Oxford, Pivot Power, Tesla and Wenea to build and operate a fast charging station at the energy hub Oxford. This was announced by the charging company on Friday morning.

The Fastned station will have a total of 14 fast chargers and the Tesla Supercharger 12 stalls, bringing the total number of fast chargers at this location to 26. It will be one of Europe’s most powerful charging locations for electric vehicles, with a power output of up to 10 MW for future expansion, said Fastned. According to the company, The hub is the first of a number of similar locations planned by Pivot Power in the UK. The Energy Hub will open its doors at the end of 2021.

At the Fastned fast charging station, 10 electric vehicles can initially charge simultaneously at speeds of up to 300 kW, allowing electric drivers to charge up to 300 kilometres of range in 20 minutes.
