People travelling to the UK from China would be required to submit a negative Corona test before the departure of their flight. The UK Government has not yet officially announced the measure. For France, the test may not be carried out more than 48 hours before departure. On arrival in France, additional tests will be carried out on a random basis. In the case of the positive samples, the genome sequences will then be examined to determine whether there is a possible new virus variant.

The number of Corona infections in China is increasing rapidly now that the most important measures of the ‘zero covid policy’ have been lifted. Previously, Spain, the United States, Italy, Japan and South Korea, among others, had already introduced or announced entry restrictions.
