Global steel production is slightly lower

Global steel production is slightly lower Pin It

Global steel production was 0.3 percent lower in September than a year earlier. This is reported according the figures provided by the international trade association World Steel Association (WorldSteel).

The 64 countries affiliated with WorldSteel together accounted for a production of 151.6 million tonnes of steel. More than half (82.8 million tonnes) came from China, where production increased by 2.2 percent. The European Union, South Korea, Japan and the United States included a decline.
