The United Kingdom and the European Union may not meet the deadline for the completion of the Brexit negotiations. Despite the deadline of mid-November, the talks will continue until the end of this week, sources on both sides of the negotiating table on Wednesday confirm.
Representatives of the 27 EU member states would be briefed on Wednesday on the progress of trade talks. This update is done on a regular basis, but the session would now be moved to November 18.
It is still planned to conclude an agreement on trade between the EU and the UK. The negotiations have not yet ended. But as is already the case throughout the Brexit-section: it can still go either way.
The sources say that there could be a text in the middle of next week or even earlier. However, according to the initiates, the negotiations can still fail.
