Supermarket chain Tesco lost 0.7%, after it announced an overhaul of its stores, putting about 2,100 jobs on the street.
From February 26, Tesco will close its remaining counters and hot delis, where meat, fish and delicacies are sold. The space will be”redesigned to better meet the needs of our customers”.
“Where we can partner with a third party to provide an in-store counter experience, we will continue to do so,” the company added.
Further, Tesco announced about 1,800 new team leader positions.
