MPK Garages is expanding its retail estate in collaboration with Nisa by adding 17 more stores to their portfolio, following the successful transition of 11 former Morrisons Daily stores earlier this year. With this expansion, MPK’s total number of Nisa-affiliated stores will reach 28, reinforcing their presence in the Midlands region and along major routes such as the M5 between Birmingham and Bristol, as well as the M1 between Nottingham and Durham. The new forecourt sites vary in size, ranging from 1,000 square feet to 3,000 square feet.
The primary focus of these retail locations will be on providing customers with convenient food-to-go options and a wide selection of chilled offerings, enhancing their overall shopping experience. In addition, the expanded range of products will now include an extensive selection of Co-op own brand items across all categories, further diversifying the product offerings.
Wayne Harrand, the retail director at MPK Garages, commended the productivity of the Nisa team and emphasized the strong foundation they have laid for future growth within local communities. The collaboration between Nisa and MPK has proven to be fruitful, with Wayne expressing confidence in the continued growth and success of the partnership.
Victoria Lockie, the head of retail at Nisa, expressed her delight regarding the addition of 17 more MPK stores to their network. She praised Wayne and the MPK team for their exceptional cooperation since the inception of their relationship with the original 11 stores. Victoria believes that the relationship between Nisa and MPK will continue to thrive and evolve, benefiting both parties.
Nisa has been witnessing remarkable growth in its forecourt business, and the partnership with MPK serves to strengthen their presence in this specific market segment. This collaboration reflects Nisa’s commitment to expanding its reach and delivering outstanding service to customers in partnership with reputable retailers like MPK Garages.
