Moody’s сredit rating agency raises the prospect for credit assessment of the telecom concern VEON from stable to positive. The rating is confirmed on Ba2.
According to Moody’s, there seems to be a reduction in the debt at VEON and a reduced exposure to exchange rate risks. The company also expects this strengthened financial profile to continue as a result of the continued solid performance of VEON.
According to Moody’s, the company also has a strong market position in various emerging markets with good growth potential. The rating will remain the same for the time being. This has to do with the headwind of regulations and fierce competition in some important markets, including Russia.
