HelloFresh revenues are increasing, but the margins go in opposite direction Pin It

HelloFresh repeated the recently increased revenue forecast for the entire fiscal year, but also maintained the downward-adjusted EBITDA margin. This was shown on Tuesday morning in a press release by the German company that supplies meal boxes.

Based on strong second quarter figures, HelloFresh increased the expected revenue growth for the whole of 2021 to 45 to 55 percent a few days ago, compared to 35 to 45 percent.

The EBITDA margin will be slightly lower, between 8.25% and 10.25%. That was 10 to 12 percent.

Second quarter

In the second quarter, as preliminary figures showed, turnover amounted to 1,555 million euros, compared to 972 million euros in the same period a year earlier.

The adjusted EBITDA improved slightly on an annual basis from 154 million to 158 million euros.

HelloFresh processed nearly 31 million orders last quarter and delivered 254 million meals. The number of active customers increased annually by 84 percent to just under 7.7 million. In the US, the number of customers increased by 93 percent to over 3.8 million.
