David Bauernfeind, financial director of the British branch of Domino’s Pizza, died in Boxing Day accident while snorkeling. According to the company, that happened while on vacation in Mauritius with his wife and daughter.

Domino’s Pizza Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, manages the chain’s restaurants in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The company also has a majority interest in the company that manages the franchises in Iceland, Norway and Sweden and a minority interest in the company that does that for Germany and Luxembourg.

The company is already going through a leadership change. Chief Executive Officer Stephen Helmsley is leaving this year and the company has already indicated that it is looking for a replacement for CEO David Wild.
