From a report of voucher codes on September 23, data was shared about the spending/investments that British residents make in the crypto industry. Through this report, it has become known that British residents have invested about £31.8 billion in cryptocurrency.
The research of Voucher Codes has revealed that the average Briton owns about £473 in cryptocurrency. The United Kingdom (UK) has almost 66 million inhabitants, by simply multiplying by the average investment, the report comes to an estimate of the total budget that residents from the UK have invested. The report also makes it clear that many investors do not stick to one cryptocurrency, for example, about 34% of residents own several cryptocurrencies. The most popular coins are Bitcoin (BTC), with 20% of UK consumers claiming to own Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH) at 8% and Dogecoin (DOGE) at 6%.
In the UK, purchases are also increasingly made with cryptocurrencies. The research shows that purchases with cryptocurrencies are used for many different products. The most popular are buying clothes (13%), housing (13%) and vacations (11%).
