Financial director Andrew Findlay will leave easyJet budget airline next year. He announced this a few days after surviving a vote of confidence with other board members. Findlay will finish his term until May next year.
The board of easyJet recently received investor support after its founder and major shareholder Stelios Haji-Ioannou tried to expel them. In addition to Findlay, he also held CEO Johan Lundgren and chairman John Barton responsible for investment plans that he considered to be sad.
EasyJet has a contract with Airbus for the delivery of 100 new aircraft. Haji-Ioannou thinks that is too much and wants the contract to be cancelled. He has been fighting against too many investments for years and was therefore in conflict with various directors.
