Travel bans and cafes locked: part UK goes into lockdown

Travel bans and cafes locked: part UK goes into lockdown Pin It

Bars closed. Only essential travel is allowed to go out – but in the evening there is a curfew. And family in other parts of the UK cannot visit. That scenario threatens British in the north of their country.

Boris Johnson’s large-scale COVID plan has already been leaked, and local Liverpool and Manchester executives are standing on their hinter legs.

The number of new hospital admissions in the United Kingdom almost doubled on Saturday compared to a day earlier. According to the government, this is partly due to a delay in the transmission of confirmed infections. On Saturday, 12,872 new coronary events were reported. By Friday, there were almost 7,000.

The delay would have been caused by a technical problem, which will also have an impact on the numbers in the next few days. “This means that the total reported in the coming days includes some additional cases from the period between 24 september and 1 October, increasing the number of reported cases,” the government says.

According to Johns Hopkins University, 469,783 infections have been detected since the outbreak in the United Kingdom. Over 42,000 people have died from the effects of the virus. Last month, the country took new measures to stop the second wave of the coronavirus. There too, for example, the pubs have to be closed at 10: 00.
