Prime Minister Theresa May to hold a Brexit meeting with President Jean-Claude Juncker of the European Commission in Brussels on Wednesday. That’s what the Juncker spokesperson announced.
Prime Minister will be at the office at Juncker at 6:30 PM. F legal solution from the 27 EU Member States for the so-called backstop, a scheme to prevent a hard border between Northern Ireland and Ireland after the British departure on 30 March is needed. The British parliament does not support its Brexit deal otherwise.
On Monday, May’s Brexit negotiator Stephen Barclay was already in Brussels for talks with EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier. The committee spokesman reiterated that Barnier made it clear that the EU will not renegotiate the agreed separation agreement.
