Wileyfox closes its Benelux office

22nd November 2018

Wileyfox closes its Benelux office Pin It

Wileyfox has closed its office in the Benelux immediately for unknown reasons. The closure follows a reorganization earlier this year, with fifty jobs disappearing at Wileyfox. After a joint venture with STK, however, the company seemed rescued.

Wileyfox has announced the closure of its Benelux office on Facebook. “Black Friday has taken on a whole new meaning for Wileyfox Benelux, our Benelux office is closed immediately, so we can not and will no longer handle and answer questions”, the division reports.

The Wileyfox Benelux team refers people with questions to Wileyfox UK, the Care app on smartphones and the chat app on wileyfox.com. The department also reports that good assessments about the service provided ‘no security for our existence’.

The closure follows financial problems for Wileyfox Europe Limited at the beginning of this year, which led to a reorganization whereby fifty employees were made redundant. In April a joint venture with smart phone maker STK followed, which seemed to secure the future of the company. How many jobs are covered by the closure of Wileyfox Benelux is unknown, as are more details about the further consequences. Since the end of 2015, Wileyfox aircraft are for sale in the Netherlands.
