Unity to go public in 2020 Pin It

The US game development company Unity Technologies reportedly wants to go public in 2020. This is what the Cheddar tech website reports on the basis of insiders. The company did not comment.

Unity Technologies is best known for its so-called game engine Unity. A game engine is the software-based basis of a computer program. According to Cheddar, about half of the games on mobile phones currently use the Unity Technologies platform.

A lot of money may be involved with the possible way to the open market. At a financing round in June last year, the company was still valued at just over 3 billion dollars. The value of the industry for mobile games as a whole has been estimated by connoisseurs at around 70 billion dollars not so long ago.
