Tech giant Apple and chip maker Intel have filed a competition case in the US against investor Fortress Investment Group, which is part of the Japanese SoftBank. The American companies accuse Fortress of storing patents and patents purely for the purpose of costing technology companies.
Apple and Intel claim that Fortress, and the companies that the investor controls, do not make technology products. The possession of the intellectual property would only be intended to allow charges against offenders.
Intel had previously filed a similar case against Fortress. This was withdrawn, immediately followed by the new indictment in which it is therefore moving with Apple. The iPhone maker claims to have suffered considerable economic damage in court documents. The companies affiliated with Fortress are alleged to have claimed at least $ 25 billion against Apple in at least 25 lawsuits.
