EasyJet joins the greenwashing trend

EasyJet joins the greenwashing trend Pin It
Rolls-Royce

EasyJet Airline is going to compensate the CO2 emissions of all its passengers as standard. The low coster starts immediately with this. The British company is also investing money in research into hybrid and electric aircraft together with aircraft maker Airbus.

Furthermore, easyJet is going to reduce its own emissions in other ways. This is possible, for example, through the use of renewable energy for its support services. The company also looks at aircraft that taxi with an electric engine instead of jet engines.

EasyJet announced the announcement of its annual figures. In its broken fiscal year ending at the end of September, the company transported 96.1 million passengers, 8.6 percent more than a year earlier. At the same time, capacity increased by 10.3 percent, reducing capacity utilization.

Total revenue increased 8.3 percent to 6.4 billion pounds. That is approximately 7.5 billion euros. Below the line, 349 million pounds remained, compared to 358 million last year.
