Eurozone economy barely growing Pin It

The eurozone economy grew by 0.4 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the previous period. The European statistics agency Eurostat reported this on the basis of a definitive figure.

The figure corresponds to previous estimates and the average expectation of economists. In the fourth quarter of 2018, the euro area economy of eighteen countries grew by 0.2 percent.

For the entire European Union, Eurostat recorded a progress of 0.5 percent, compared to 0.3 percent in the previous period.
