Hospital operator VPS Healthcare is reconsidering its plans for a stock exchange listing in London due to the uncertainty surrounding the Brexit. An initiate reported this to the care provider.
VPS, based in Abu Dhabi, operates hospitals and medical centers in the Middle East, Europe and India. The company is said to have hired Rothschild investment bank to advise on a possible listing in London this year. The healthcare provider would now also look at listings in the United States and Singapore. In addition, VPS is reportedly now planning to postpone the sale of shares to 2020 instead of this year.
With a London listing, VPS would follow the example of other healthcare companies from the United Arab Emirates, such as NMC Health that took the step to the British stock market seven years ago.
