Unilever sells the research and development site on Olivier van Noortlaan in Vlaardingen to Van Adrighem Group. Van Adrighem will use the site for a combination of living and working purposes.
No financial details were reported about the transaction. In October 2016, Unilever announced its intention to move its research activities from its current location in Vlaardingen to Wageningen. During the period after 2016, Unilever entered into discussions with the municipality of Vlaardingen to ensure that the new use of the site also fits the wishes of the municipality.
Unilever will start moving to Wageningen during the summer and expects to complete this project before the end of 2019.
