The top of steel producer Tata Steel Europe is being redesigned. Tata Steel Europe CEO Hans Fischer will retire at the end of this week. NK Misra, financial director, also announced his departure. He works until the end of the year.
Fischer will be succeeded by Henrik Adam. He is currently commercial director of the European branch of the Indian company. However, Fischer will remain connected to the company as adviser until September “to ensure a smooth transition”. The successor to Misra, who continues to work until the end of the year, will be Sandip Biswas. Biswas will be appointed to the Tata Steel Europe board as of 1 July.
The former Dutch blast furnace is part of Tata Steel Europe. The company has been busy with a merger with ThyssenKrupp in recent years, but it failed.
