Royal Dutch Shell will provide power to the Australian state of New South Wales through a partnership. This is what Shell announced on Tuesday.
Shell is working with Edify, an Australian sustainable energy developer. According to New South Wales, the ten-year contract, which will start in the summer of 2022, is worth USD 3.2 billion, or just over EUR 2 billion.
New South Wales sees the partnership with Shell and Edify as a next step in its plans to become carbon neutral by 2050.
