Page Group suffers an impact of Chinese virus outbreak Pin It

The British Page Group is suffering in China from the outbreak of the new corona virus. Because of the virus many Chinese people do not go to work and that is harmful to recruitment agencies like Page Group. The company indicated that the full impact of the outbreak is still too early to estimate because the virus is now also affecting more and more markets in the rest of the world.

Page Group expects the impact of the corona virus on Chinese activities to be significant in March and probably beyond. In China, the company has around 550 employees in nine offices. According to Page Group, profit fell in the first two months of this year.

Throughout 2019, the company saw sales increase by 7 percent to 1.65 billion pounds, equivalent to 1.9 billion euros. Gross profit climbed 5 percent to £ 885.5 million compared to 2018.
