New accusations against ex-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn prevent him from bailing out Pin It

Japanese prosecutors have arrested the fallen chief of Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi Carlos Ghosn again. According to local media, Ghosn was arrested Friday for “violating confidence with aggravating circumstances“.

A Japanese judge dismissed a request from the prosecutors on Thursday to extend the pre-trial order of Ghosn. It cleared the way that he would be released on bail on Friday.

Under the new charge he could be held for up to ten days according to local media. The Frenchman has been stuck on suspicion of tax fraud as CEO of Nissan since mid-November.
