Massive job cuts at Barclays expected Pin It

The Barclays bank wants to cut its management layer. There are a hundred senior employees in the investment division who have to fear for their jobs. With the step, Barclays wants to reduce costs.

In the first instance, they are directors and directors, mainly in London and at offices in Asia, according to insiders at the bank. Barclays job cuts is not associated with a withdrawal from certain markets. The bank itself did not want to respond to the messages. Last year, Barclays announced that it had said goodbye to 3,000 employees in the second quarter.

Banks said goodbye to around 80,000 employees last year. That mainly happened in Europe.
