Even waste processors expect less profit due to virus ourtbreak Pin It

Renewi Waste processor is bracing for the consequences of the corona crisis. The company assumes that due to the crisis, less waste will be processed, and is therefore taking measures to reduce costs by more than 40 million euros.

For example, avoidable expenditure must be limited and Renewi scrutinizes investments. In addition, the company makes use of the possibility in the Netherlands and Belgium to request a reduction in working hours for employees. The government largely pays the salaries.

According to Renewi, the already announced government aid will help to considerably limit the adverse effects of the corona outbreak. Nevertheless, the company expects to be hit by it and is also taking measures itself. More details will be announced when the annual results are published on 4 June, two weeks later than planned.
