Another significant drop in European commercial vehicle sales Pin It

Sales of new commercial vehicles in the European Union fell considerably in February, just as in January. Sales fell 6.2 percent year-on-year to 154,889 vehicles, auto industry association ACEA reports.

Looking over the first two months of the year, European sales are now 8.9 percent down on last year in the same period.

Among other things, vans and heavy vehicles were sold less last month. Of the categories used by ACEA, only the buses sold increased.

With the exception of France, sales decreased in all major car markets, especially in Germany and Spain. In the Netherlands, sales of commercial vehicles fell in February by 12.7 percent to 6,875 units.
