The British government and Labor opposition party must strive for a pragmatic solution to break the stalemate about the Brexit. The German Finance Minister, Olaf Scholz, argues for this. He shared his message via Twitter.
According to the German, it is best for all parties if the British leave the EU in an orderly fashion. Scholz believes that a sensible decision should be made in view of the current stalemate in British politics.
Next week, European leaders will meet to decide on a possible extension of the Brexit deadline. It is now on 12 April. Prime Minister Theresa May is now consulting opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn to see if they can come up with a plan that can count on the support of a parliamentary majority.
